Other options for accommodation in a monastery
You can also book your own place through Airbnb or similar companies, and there are quite a few hotels in Assisi as well.
If you are looking for private accommodation, it should also be in the upper old part of Assisi.
The airport is either Florence or Pisa. Please check the best connection for you. From both airports there is a train to Assisi which takes about 3 hours.
You will arrive at the bottom of Assisi by train and from there you take the bus for about 15 minutes to the upper part of Assisi. There the bus stops at the gates of the beautiful old town. From there it is possible to take a taxi or walk a short distance to the monastery. The retreat venue is close to the monastery where we live.
